How have you been feeling about the New Year?
Has the dark weather been bringing down your mood?
If you’ve been struggling to keep on top of things recently, here are some easy steps you can take to ease the pressure.
- Have a clear image of the goal you want to achieve and create a step by step of what you will do to achieve it.
- Create a realistic deadline so you know how long it will take you to achieve your goal. Creating a deadline also encourages you by giving you a time scale to work towards. Sometimes, this will help you achieve things quicker but this will depend on the goal you are aiming to achieve.
- Do the most difficult tasks first.
Doing the most difficult tasks first will get them out of the way and make you feel more motivated to complete the rest of the tasks you have set.
- Don’t multitask.
Keep to doing one thing at a time so you can complete the task more efficiently.
- Don’t overwhelm yourself and take breaks.
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself and take regular breaks. This helps you maintain good concentration and focus. If you work on one task for too long, you will start to lose interest and your quality of work will slip- taking regular breaks helps prevent this.
- Get enough sleep.
Getting enough sleep is crucial to having a clear mind, ability to focus and concentrate.
